Andrew Cordwell
Andrew - CEO

Andrew Cordwell BEng (Hons) is the CEO of the company, having overall responsibility for its portfolio of projects. An engineer by trade, he has over 20 years’ experience in engineering, project management and building services management. Andrew has a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and began his career at DGP International. He brings to the company a wealth of experience in managing commercial, retail and industrial building projects.

Paul Davidson
Paul - Managing Director

Paul Davidson BSc (Hons), MRICS manages the design and projects teams, and has day-to-day management responsibility for all development projects. Paul has 30 years’ experience in the property consultancy industry with 14 years specific experience in design services across a number of sectors. He has a wealth of professional and academic qualifications including as a chartered building surveyor, member of the association of project supervisors and a BSc (Hons) in building surveying.

Dave - MD of Construction

Dave is the MD of Construction at Beech Design & Build and currently heads a team of 30. He is responsible for all construction projects within Beech’s overall portfolio. Dave has 33 years’ experience working in residential property and has had a very successful career along the way. His 'go-getter' attitude and his love of challenges make him a great fit for the company.

Hollie - Development Assoc. Director

Hollie is our Development Associate Director. Her day-to-day role consists of putting development management procedures in place, to ensure that the business is tracking and progressing all new build projects, as well as having them off the ground. On top of her wealth of industry experience, Hollie’s professional attitude and attention to detail make her a great asset for the business.

Iain - Associate Director: Design

Iain has over 25 years’ experience and a heavy background in architectural technology and building surveying within the residential sector, both in the UK and the middle east. He is now our Associate Director for Design. His role is to oversee all our new builds and interior design, making sure that work consistently completed to a high standard while continually raising the bar.

Ian - Assoc. Director: Refurbishment

Ian is our Associate Director for refurbishment, incorporating M&E and building surveying. He graduated in 1999 with a 2:1 in Building Surveying from Leeds Metropolitan University. His hard work also enabled him to become a chartered building surveyor with the RICS in 2003. His passion for historic buildings and property development makes him a great fit for the business.

Jonathan - Head of Construction

Jonathan heads the quantity surveying team having joined the company in 2014. As a quantity surveyor, he has gained experience in all mainstream areas of commercial buildings with a focus on refurbishment and specialist fit-out schemes. Having gained a Bsc (Hons) degree in quantity surveying, Jonathan is a strategic, creative and highly competent individual who always accomplishes more than expected by meeting project challenges with enthusiasm and hard work.

Angela - Head of Interior Design

After graduating with an Interior Design degree in 1999, Angela started her career by designing a number of pubs. She then spent 5 years working on 5-star hotels in Dubai, where she learned a lot by being thrown into the deep end. After that, she moved to Australia, where she set up her own business before eventually coming back to the UK. Angela’s passion, experience and dedication make her a great asset to the business.

Simon - Principal Design Manager

Simon holds a degree in Architecture from South Wales University, Australia. After a successful first role in Sydney, he moved to London to work for an international practice specialising in hotel/higher education buildings. He then moved to Manchester to work on large-scale residential property developments. Working in our new build department, his day-to-day role is to review all potential opportunities and evaluate which is best to work on.

Abdel - Principal Design Manager

Abdel is a Senior Architect who has established an international reputation in his profession. He has worked for high profile architectural firms and even established his own small business in 2013 before finally deciding to re-enter an Architectural Practice. Abdel’s responsibilities are to primarily oversee all new build design projects whilst also mentoring his team in their day to day work.

Marcus - Principal Design Manager

Marcus has a degree in Architectural Technology and has 14 years’ experience in the industry. He has been a Design Manager for numerous architectural practices over the last 7 years and is passionate about working on a project from a concept stage all the way to the finished product. His day to day role is to oversee project delivery on site as well as mentoring staff by sharing his expertise.

Tim - Senior Mechanical Engineer

Tim is a HVAC engineer (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and holds over 20 years’ experience in the building services industry. He also holds a city and guilds qualification in refrigeration and has worked on all stages of product engineering, from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning. His vast experience, technical knowledge, and practical skills make him a valuable asset to the team.

Marcin Adamowski
Marcin - Head of 3D Visualisation

Holding a degree in Architectural Design and Technology, Marcin originally comes from Poland and was hired shortly after graduating due to his dedication and potential. Marcin now heads his own department, specialising in design and 3D modelling. He has a strong passion for architecture and is highly meticulous with his work, making him a valued member of the team.

Glenn - Head of Procurement

Responsible for the procurement of all materials for Beech Design & Build, Glenn has been involved with Construction Materials Procurement for 20 years and specialises in negotiation as well as forming and maintaining supplier and stakeholder relationships. He is driven and always focuses on getting the best deal he can for Beech, as well as ensuring we get the right products to the correct site at a suitable price and on time.

Lisa Williams
Lisa - Company Accountant

Managing the accounts for Beech Design & Build, Lisa's day-to-day role is to ensure that all financial information is accurate in order to help the company make efficient business decisions. Coming from a family with a background in construction, this provides Lisa with a clear understanding of the industry, whilst her positive energy and attention to detail make her a great fit for the business.

James Roche
James - Safety Assurance Advisor

James has 15 years’ experience in Health and Safety within the Construction industry and has worked for prestigious global companies, as well as numerous contractors in the Middle East. He was involved in a £1.2b project in the desert, as well as the revered Jumeirah Golf Estate in Dubai. His wealth of experience makes him a valuable asset for the business.

Rob - Furniture Project Manager

Robert BSc (Hons) is responsible for the design, procurement and installation of furniture for Beech Build & Design. He has been involved with furniture design since leaving university, designing and project managing high end bespoke furniture for exclusive clientele. His design flair and keen eye for detail ensure that furniture projects run swiftly and smoothly from start to finish, with a beautiful end-result.

Silvia - Interior Design Manager

Silvia has a degree in Art and Design from Portugal as well as 6 years’ experience in hotel and residential interior design. She also has extensive experience in furniture and interior design in the student accommodation sector. Silvia manages a team of 4 and is responsible for giving interior sophistication to buildings, whilst respecting each building’s heritage. She has always been passionate about reconciling the old with the new and has a soft spot for working with textures and colours.

Ester - Assistant Design Manager

Ester graduated in Architecture at La Salle University, Barcelona, Spain. Her projects included preservation and rehabilitation, master plans, mixed-use developments, commercial and residential projects in Australia, Spain and the Middle East. Working on our listed buildings projects, her day to day responsibilities are to deal with the project design, documentation, technical details, supplier relationships and construction works.

Virginia - Assistant Design Manager

Virginia BA (Hons) MSc graduated in architecture from the University of Valladolid in Spain in 2009. She has worked in various architect offices and has been involved in architectural projects for the University of Leon, the public library in Burgos and a variety of restoration projects. Her day to day responsibilities are to deal with the project design, documentation, technical details, supplier relationships and construction works for several projects.

Aino - Office Manager to the Beech HQs

Aino is originally from Finland and has many years of experience in the customer service industry. She has worked in various hotels throughout Europe and considers herself to be very determined and career minded. She has developed a love for historical buildings, and is fascinated by the process it takes to bring old and abandoned buildings back to life. Aino was lucky to have been involved in the refurbishment of the Royal Exchange in city centre Manchester.
