Basil House

Basil House, Portland Street, Manchester City Centre

Nestled between Manchester’s Chinatown and university district is Basil House, a characterful restoration project that’s been hailed as our most prestigious project to date.

Description

In the mid-19th century, Manchester was famous for its booming textile industry and Basil House was one of many key buildings that accommodated this boom.

Completed in March 2018, Basil House was a former textile warehouse that we transformed into 37 luxury apartments. The Grade II listed building was carefully restored in order to maintain a number of heritage features that make this residential development so characterful.

Our team delivered a full turnkey design and construction service, stripping Basil House back to its core, reconfiguring the room layouts and constructing new partition walls that were in keeping with the building’s original façade.

With exposed brick, a rich colour palette, quartz worktops and modern design features, Basil House perfectly balances luxury living with good quality, sustainable materials, creating an industrial style interior with an opulent edge.

If you would like to find out more about Basil House or if you’re in the process of specifying a project and need our help, get in touch with our team and we’ll talk you through the process.
